live and lead with generosity

We are women with projects. Let’s start one together.

2017 is in full swing. I hope this is just the beginning of a powerful chapter in your personal and professional journeys. While we have control of our own lives (truly, we do, despite the challenges), it’s not the same for many others.

The sense of urgency, frustration or disbelief you might feel when reading the news each morning I know is echoed by everyone in this group. Now, more than ever, it’s right to take a look at the role we can and must play in society. What can we really do?

I want to put forward a solution. Or rather, an opportunity. An opportunity for us to raise our hands and work together, through a movement called BeyondMe. BeyondMe is a movement of business professionals and charities working together to move the dial on society’s toughest challenges. They enable professionals, like us, to come together in teams and form year-long partnerships with some of the UK’s most innovative charities, working on a specific project. Those projects relate to a critical need the charity has identified. They’re available to us specifically because we have the valuable skills and time to help them deliver it.

If you’re looking to increase your experience of the social sector to inform the work of your business; build your network to include outstanding individuals working in charities; or simply have a more enriched experience of giving that goes beyond a direct debit or petition, then BeyondMe is for you. To ‘raise your hand’, simply click here to pledge and Ambica (Head of Social Leadership at BeyondMe and fellow NOI Lady) will be in touch to arrange a meet-up so you can learn more. Friends of NOI ladies are welcome too – so feel free to bring others into the fold!

I named the group NOI, ‘we’ in Italian, for a reason: I believe we can do important things, together. We are women with projects. We are women with skills, talents, ideas and energy. We are women the social sector needs.
